Terms of Service
Last updated: April 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Reel Resumes (the “Service”), operated by Reel Resumes (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. Employer accounts must be created and operated by an individual authorized to bind their company to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@reelresumes.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. The Service
Reel Resumes is a hiring platform where job seekers apply with a 60-second video and employers review applicants. We provide the Service on an “as is” basis and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
3.1 Job seekers
- You retain ownership of the videos and other content you submit (“Your Content”).
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service — including showing it to employers you apply to.
- You represent that Your Content does not violate the law or any third party's rights, and complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.
3.2 Employers
- Job postings start at USD $99 per single posting and remain active for 30 days unless taken down sooner. Bundle and subscription pricing is shown on the pricing page.
- You may request a refund within 24 hours of payment if the posting received zero applications. After 24 hours, postings are non-refundable.
- You agree to make hiring decisions in compliance with applicable employment and anti-discrimination law in your jurisdiction.
- You will not use applicant videos or contact information for any purpose other than evaluating their application.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By posting a job you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the listed amount plus any applicable taxes. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to the payment portion of the transaction.
5. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate it.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the website, brand, and software (excluding user content), is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, indemnity, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any specific applicant or employer will respond.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by your local law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the Service. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
