Reel Resumes

Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Reel Resumes uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which we treat the same way for the purposes of this policy.

2. Categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the Service to work. They cannot be turned off through the consent banner.

  • Authentication — Supabase auth cookies that identify your signed-in session.
  • Security — CSRF protection tokens for forms and server actions.
  • Consent state— a single cookie that records your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again on every page load.

2.2 Analytics (consent required)

These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. They are loaded only after you grant consent through the banner, and you can change your mind at any time.

  • PostHog — anonymized product analytics: pages visited, features used, conversion funnels.

2.3 Functional preferences

Small bits of state we keep on your device to make the Service nicer to use. These are first-party and do not track you across sites.

  • Sound on/off preference for the review reel.
  • Sidebar collapse state.

3. Third-party cookies set by our service providers

Some pages embed content served by our processors. Their cookies are governed by their own policies.

  • Mux — sets cookies on the video player to remember playback quality and to count playback metrics.
  • Stripe — sets cookies on the hosted checkout page used for employer job postings, for fraud detection.

4. Managing your preferences

You can control cookies in three ways:

  • Use the cookie consent banner the first time you visit, or use the button below to re-open it any time and change your choice.
  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
  • Use browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we detect GPC, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics cookies.

5. Do Not Track

We do not respond to traditional “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control as described above.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
